A 32-year-old wannabe human barbie doll was found dead at her home just days after she took herself off social media.
Olga Arkhangelskaya reportedly died in her home city of Odesa, Ukraine on May 16, according to the news website Apostrophe.
Arkhangelskaya’s close friend and fellow 'Barbie' social media star, Valeriya Lukyanova is recalling the days when the two embarked on their dream of resembling a child's doll.
Lukyanova who is popularly known online as the 'Odessa Barbie' posted a note on the Russian social media website, VKontakte as a tribute to her friend.
"She was incredibly sad, and at the same time incredibly funny, with a sharp, simply brilliant sense of humor and sarcasm. She was incredibly strong yet incredibly weak and sensitive," Lukyanova said.
The young women met and became friends ten years ago, gaining popularity together, however, it was Lukyanova who enjoyed the overwhelming share of fame online. She has over one million followers on Instagram,
Lukyanova went under the knife several times, but Arkhangelskaya was not so quick in pursuing the dream and reportedly failed to achieve the same level of fame and success as her friend.
While Lukyanova left for the States to pursue her dream and further benefit from her celebrity status, Arkhangelskaya decided to stay back and tried to gain work as a designer.
She also kept herself away from social media postings, and would occasionally post poems as a sign of her presence online.
Lukyanova cited a poem titled: 'I Am Swimming In Time', which she believes was an indication that her friend knew she would not live much longer.
The roughly translated version of the poem that allegedly predicted Olga's death in May read:
"Reach out your palm, take my words.
And suddenly, slowing down the race, the tired world will freeze.
Only May will remain, all sun and grass.
One fine day that became my sunset."
The exact cause of Arkhangelskaya’s death is still unknown and it is unclear whether she had chosen to end her life in order to ensure that she died in May, as she predicted in the above poem.
