Kate Middleton, so far, has been the face of modesty among the royals. If she plays her cards right, the UK and other Commonwealth realms would be seeing a great queen someday.

Multiple informants who are close to the royal family told People that they can see a “growing confidence” in the Duchess of Cambridge. While the 37-year-old is raising her three kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, with Prince William, she’s also championing mothers and children everywhere as her main passion and purpose. “She is finding her voice,” a reputable source shared.

Last year, Kate attended several meetings about early childhood, showing her devotion to learning. “The Duchess wouldn’t just join us, she would stay for the whole meeting,” Kate Stanley, director of strategy at the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to children, shared. “She has a deep curiosity to really understand the issues,” the executive added.

The duchess also launched her third “Back To Nature” garden, which fuels her ongoing cause to inspire kids to play outside. In a speech last Tuesday, she mentioned how she realized how important it is to “foster our children’s development, in all areas” as soon as they are born.

“She is now more open with what she wants to say, and funnily enough, she is more relaxed as well,” a royal family friend expressed. “She is an adoring mother, and she is contributing publicly in the way we would want her to,” another source said.

Additionally, many accounts have proven that Kate has learned the ropes of the royal life as she spent nearly a decade as William’s girlfriend prior to marriage. She’d “seen enough” and “experienced enough,” making her aware of the demands and responsibilities of being part of Britain’s most talked-about bunch.

According to Sally Bedell Smith, the Queen’s biographer, this period enabled her and the rest of the Middletons to be acquainted with the protocols and expectations of being “Queen Elizabeth’s granddaughter-in-law.” If she continues with her charity work, among other developmental endeavors, Kate really is on the right track.
