Queen Elizabeth II is 93-years-old, and she appears to be preparing to hand over the crown to Prince William. The Duke of Cambridge spent a whole day with his grandmother recently to learn the ropes of how to be a monarch one day.
Several dignitaries met with the Queen recently, and she received them at Buckingham Palace. Prince William joined his grandmother when she met with Danny Faure, the President of Seychelles, Express reported.
The Queen has been busy these past few days. Apart from meeting with guests from abroad, she also took some time out to meet with the volunteers for the 60th anniversary of Cruse Bereavement Care, the largest charity for people suffering from grief in the UK that has branches all over the country.
Prince William has been doing his part by meeting with world leaders and learning from the Queen. Part of his royal duties also require him to travel to various Common Wealth countries and represent the ageing monarch.
The most recent royal trip that Prince William undertook with his wife Kate Middleton was to Pakistan. He visited various places in the South Asian country and met with people from all walks of life.
The Duke of Cambridge and his wife were seen wearing local attire and hats that they received as gifts. The other highlight of the trip was the royals arriving for a special reception dinner in a rickshaw that is also known as a tuk-tuk.
A highlight reel of the tour has been shared on the official Kensington Palace Instagram page. The video shows them visiting various locations in the country and even a clip of them getting inside the tuk-tuk.
Prince William and Middleton thanked Pakistan in the social media post. The video has gathered over 2.7 million likes as of this writing.
