Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are quite popular in the eyes of the media thanks to countless controversies between them and the Queen.
One of the favorite news that the media loves reporting is Queen Elizabeth's real relationship with the Duchess of Sussex.
Most people say that the 93-year-old monarch isn't really fond of Prince Harry's wife, and most of them are looking for reasons to prove this theory.
One of it is the fact that the Queen turned down Prince Harry and Meghan's request to live with Her Majesty at Windsor Castle shortly after their marriage.
Even though they politely asked Queen Elizabeth II, she politely declined them and offered them Frogmore Cottage instead.
According to Royal author and deputy Lord lieutenant of Berkshire, Hugo Vickers, the Queen might have declined their request since she probably thought it was improper to have a small family living with her at her home.
“There are empty bedrooms and suites in the private apartments which the Sussex’s may have had their eye on, or perhaps some former living quarters in the castle grounds converted into other things.
But I can see how it might not be entirely appropriate to have a young family living there,” he said.
Even though Frogmore Cottage wasn't originally the first choice of the royal couple, the place received a £2.4 million renovation before they moved in.
Currently, Prince Harry, Meghan and their child Archie are living comfortably at Windsor which others assume is the Sussex's move to maintain the privacy of their son.
Windsor also holds importance for both Prince Harry and Meghan since many of the milestones in their lives were held here, such as their marriage at St George’s Chapel and Archie's christening at Windsor Castle's chapel in July.
