“House of Cards” has been celebrating its unparalleled success of its sophomore season which was released entirely on Netflix on February 14. But there is little rest for the wicked, because series creator Beau Willimon has revealed that his writers are already back to work on Season 3. In a behind the scenes look, Willimon posted a snap shot to his Twitter, the picture was an exclusive look of the “House of Cards” writer’s room. In addition to the look inside the writer’s room, Willimon captioned the photo which provided fans of the online series the biggest hint of all as to when they can expect Season 3 on Netflix. Willimon wrote, “Howdy from the @HouseofCards writer’s room! We’re hard at work on Seas 3 for y’all. 800 pages to go! @netflix.” It has been previously confirmed that Season 3 will make its way to the online streaming service, for its loyal fans to watch in an unabashed binge session, however, now the question is when will “House of Cards” season 3 premiere?

‘We start shooting season three soon,’ Robin Wright revealed. Wright stars alongside Kevin Spacey as the Claire Underwood, Second Lady of the United States, who is just as clever and sometimes monstrous as her devilishly witty husband, Frank Underwood. The pair have already captivated audiences over the past two 13 episode seasons and are eager for more political intrigue and drama. Netflix experienced new heights with the Season 2 launch date, which allows viewers access to all 13 episode at once, the service reported a surge of new subscribers on February 14. Another surprise for “House of Cards” fans came in the premiere with Frank Underwood brutally murdering Zoe Barnes, who was portrayed by Kate Mara. While fans were in shock and awe by the aggressive start of the season, Willimon says they should have expected it. Willimon told TV Guide, “That was always in the cards. The decisions of where we go with Zoe’s story ultimately were made before we even began writing season one in earnest.”

So with Season 2 well under way and only 800 more pages to go in the Season 3 script. When will viewers be able to see what happens in “House of Cards” without the ambitious Zoe Barnes? Unfortunately not for a while, due to the format of the show, cast and crew have to have everything completely tied up by the launch date, because the entire new season is instantly available. If we take into account past seasons, “House of Cards” season 2 began filming in April of 2013 and was released in February of 2014. With the script being completed soon, we can imagine production of Season 3 will begin by April of 2014, meaning Season 3 of “House of Cards” will most likely be coming back to Netflix for February of 2015.
