"Hostages" returns tonight and CBS new thrilling series is about to take a major turn. According to the episode 7 promo video, Duncan may die in tonight's episode "Hail Mary." But could it really be that easy? Well apparently not. Ellen and Brian decide that they have to "take down" Duncan in order to escape safely, in order to execute the shutdown of their grave hostage situation, Ellen sneaks away for help. Does anyone else think Ellen sneaks away a lot more easily than anyone else in the family? She is not such a detained hostage, so when she sneaks away she seeks advice from a "man who has previously helped her solve problems." Although, in the promo video it seems like Ellen and Brian's escape doesn't go according to plan.
After meaning with her advisor, Ellen soon learns that while he is loyal to her and her family, this man has ties to Duncan. He reveals that their plan to kill Duncan is all for nothing, because if he dies, they die. Now with Ellen realizing their plan will only put their lives in more peril, she rushes home to stop Brain from completing Duncan's murder. However, it seems she may be too late. In the promo video, Ellen is seen rushing in just as Brian plunges a syringe filled with poison into Duncan's heart. In the midst of all the chaos at the Sander's residence, more tension is building. Archer's accomplice seemingly turns on him and plans to reveal information about the murder to the Assistant District Attorney.
