The Charlotte Hornets will visit the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday, Jan. 6, at the BMO Harris Bradley Center with both teams coming off contrasting last assignments.
On one end, Charlotte lost to the Memphis Grizzlies, 107-131. It was their third-straight loss after dropping games to the Los Angeles Lakers (115-121) and the Brooklyn Nets (106-123).
In their loss to the Grizzlies, LaMelo Ball led the way with 23 points and 12 assists. Terry Rozier chipped in 21 points and four assists as well.
The Hornets are averaging 111.3 points per game and shooting 44.4% from the field. Charlotte is 26th in defensive rating and 28th allowing 118.4 points per contest.
Kelly Oubre Jr. has been listed as out for this game while Gordon Hayward is day-to-day. The Hornets will need to do more against a dangerous Bucks five.
The Bucks are leading the Eastern Conference and are 15-5 this season. They are coming off a 104-101 overtime win over the Toronto Raptors with Giannis Antetokounmpo leading the charge with 30 points, 21 rebounds and 10 assists. Grayson Allen and Pat Connaughton added 16 and 15 points respectively.
Listed as day-to-day for this game are Antetokounmpo, Jrue Holiday and Marjon Beauchamp while Khris Middleton and George Hill are listed as out.
The Bucks are averaging 112.5 points per game and 45.5% from the field. On defense, Milwaukee is also allowing the opposition only 110.5 points per contest.
