Each match in World Cup qualifying becomes more important than the last, especially for teams that haven't yet sealed their spot at next summer's tournament in Brazil. As teams continue to make their final preparations with the major tournament nearing, competition across the wide spectrum of international soccer escalates, setting up what should be a tremendous finish to the final round of qualification matches. With just 32 spots available at next year's World Cup, expect many matches to remain tight from start to finish.

The race for one of the 3 automatic qualifying spots in the CONCACAF Hexagonal remains tight with each of the 6 teams having only 3 matches remaining to improve their standing and advance to Brazil. Costa Rica currently paces the pool thanks to a recent 3-1 victory over second place United States. Honduras holds a two-point lead over Mexico for third position with Panama and Jamaica rounding out the field. Set to play a crucial match against Panama (7 points), Honduras (10 points) hopes to find the same magic they enjoyed in their last victory, a 2-1 defeat of El Tri on September 6.
