Hilary Duff, best known for her role on the Disney Channel show "Lizzie Maguire," paved the way for a new generation of stars to break free of their childhood images and build a career that is all their own. Hilary Duff has come a long way since her Disney days staring in films and guest appearing on TV shows like "Gossip Girl" and "Law and Order: SVU." In a recent interview with OMG Insider, Hilary Duff opens up about her career, motherhood and what she has planned for the future.
Hilary Duff and husband Mike Comrie, a retired NHL player welcomed their son Luca into the world last year. Duff told OMG Insider that the precocious 13-month-old gets into to everything and is always running here and there.
"I'm really at a fun stage right now. My son is 13-months so we just celebrated his first birthday. He's running around everywhere. He knows what he wants and what he doesn't like and really has a personality now."
Duff admitted to OMG that being a first time mom, constantly followed by the paparazzi is not an easy task. For the most part Duff said the paparazzi respect her space but she admits it is hard always having your picture taken.
"I haven't had to explain it to my son yet, what's going on. For the most part they respect me and they respect my space, but it's tough to always be photographed," Duff told OMG.
Hilary Duff had taken a break from acting in order to be a mom. The 25-year-old has a few projects in the works. Most recently she appeared on the "Two and a Half Men" season finale.
Duff Explained to OMG that working on the season finale worked out well with her schedule. The actor is a devoted mom and said she will only begin working on a project if she is able to spend time with Luca. Duff said a project has to be worthwhile for her to miss time with her son.
Hilary Duff's creative ability is not limited to acting. The third book in her series "Elixir" was released last month and she is heading back into the recording studio.
