In the race to the presidency, Hilary Clinton is taking no prisoners as she strengthens her campaign. After a great performance at the first presidential debate, the Democratic presidential nominee is riding off her success with a new project. Clinton is currently reaching out to hip-hop fans in an effort to spread voter registration information.
We just recently saw the preview of Clinton’s sit-down with singer Mary J Blige that reaches out to R&B fans, and now, she is reaching out to hip-hop fans with the help of rapper Pusha T.
While Pusha T hasn’t been too vocal about the upcoming election besides lending his platform to Clinton in the past, it’s nice to see him show his support. It would be cool to get the behind the scenes details on how Clinton managed to garner the rapper’s support.
Clinton tweeted out a voter registration contest that gives hip-hop fans the chance of meeting Pusha T. While Clinton has had many successes lately, this move does not sit well with many hip-hop fans. Twitter immediately went in on the presidential candidate. From memes and flat out slander, Twitter is currently in an uproar.
This may be a sidestep for the presidential candidate, but with Donald Trump’s latest antics and debate performance, it safe to say that Clinton can bounce back from this. The Republican candidate has been defending his sexist comments about women, most notably about former Miss Universe Alicia Machado, and social media and media outlets have been ripping him a new one.
With the election around the corner, the candidates have to make sure that every move they make is beneficial to their campaigns. Time is of the essence.
