Revered actress Dame Helen Mirren recently waxed poetic about GPS while lamenting that Kurt Cobain will never be able to experience it.

While speaking with Evening Standard's Brave New World, the 79-year-old actress discussed how lucky she is to have reached her current age then started talking about the "magic" of GPS.

"I always say, it's so sad that Kurt Cobain died when he did because he never saw GPS," Mirren said, as reported by Variety. "GPS is the most wonderful thing, to watch my little blue spot walking down the street. I just find it completely magical and unbelievable."

Mirren has made multiple references to technologies she thinks the late rocker, who died by suicide in 1994, might have appreciated, according to Variety. In 2014, she mentioned to Oprah that the former Nirvana front man "hardly even saw a computer."

Mirren said she "was thinking about Kurt Cobain the other day and he died without knowing the internet, and I'm totally blown away by that," during a Cosmopolitan interview in 2015.
