Héctor Rolotti, Argentine businessman was found dead in India. He had been reported missing since Monday in the Indian city of Rishikesh . He was the owner of the well-known chain restaurant Novecento which he founded in 1999 located in Argentina, Miami and New York. He jumped into the Ganges River to save a woman’s life.
“He and a group of people saw a woman being overwhelmed by the current, from the banks of that raging river. Some of the group members threw themselves in hoping to save her. They managed to rescue her and get out of the water, not without a huge amount of difficulty. Unfortunately Héctor, the last person to get out of the river, was swept away by the current.” Rolotti’s company said.
Rolotti lived in Miami, where Novecento has two restaurants. Novecento’s website reads "Friends, guests, employees who left, leave and will leave their mark everyday; they are part of this magical journey, this dream and this mystique. Novecento is theirs... Novecento is yours."
He was a father of four and in India on a meditation trip, accompanied by his wife and a group of friends.
