Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez sent their fans into a frenzy last month when they broke the news about their engagement. But while fans are excited to see the two tie the knot, it looks like the wedding is not the couple’s priority at this point. In fact, they still do not have a wedding date in mind.
In an interview this week, the “I’m Real” singer revealed that they are taking their sweet time planning their wedding, especially now that they have so much on their plate. Lopez said that as much as they want to push through with the wedding planning soon, they still have work for the rest of the year and do not have time to prepare for the big day.
“We haven’t decided if we’re going to squeeze it in somewhere or we’re going to wait, so, you know,” she said. “I really don’t know yet. It’s easy, I’m not lying right now!” she added.
Despite her busy schedule, Lopez said her fiancé still supports her in all of her endeavors. “He knows I’m a serious actor,” she said. “He sees the bravery in what I’m doing.”
Since the beginning of their relationship, Lopez and Rodriguez have always been supportive of each other’s careers. Gushing about Rodriguez’s baseball legacy and incredible work ethic, the female superstar said her fiancé has always been with her every step of the way.
Lopez is currently busy with her stripper drama “Hustlers,” which she will top bill with Cardi B. Her “It’s My Party” tour is also slated for summer, in time for her 50th birthday. The concert tour will kick off on June 7 in Inglewood, California, and will end on July 26 in Miami, Florida.
Lopez revealed that her kids with Marc Anthony, Max and Emme, will accompany her in all her 29 shows in Canada and the United States in June and July. As for Rodriguez, Lopez said he will show up but not in the entire course of the concert tour.
“Alex has Sunday night baseball so he’ll be in and out,” she said. “He said, ‘I’m definitely at opening night, I’m definitely at closing night, in between we’ll figure it out.’”
Rodriguez proposed to Lopez on March 9 during their vacation in the Bahamas. The former baseball player presented the singer with a 15-carat diamond ring that costs $5 million.
