Singer-actor Harry Styles saw a lot of real estate action recently with the sale of his Hollywood Hills home, after which he bought a posh new pad in the U.K.
Harry bought a Hollywood Hills house, which was originally built in 1963, for $6.87 million back in 2016. The property sits on a total land area of one-fourth of an acre or almost 11,000 square feet. The house covers 4,401 square feet.
Perched over the Sunset Strip, the abode has been tagged as a sprawling bachelor pad with glass walls and 10-foot-high ceilings. It also boasted of a well-equipped gym, a swimming pool, a screening room and was furnished with black leather couches. To top it all off, the house has multiple terraces where one could get a good view of the city. Of course, it also had central air conditioning and heating.
Alas, just 18 months after buying the place, it became clear that it was not practical for Harry to keep the house. He wasn't spending as much time in Los Angeles as he thought he would.
Harry first put the house on the market sometime in May 2017. At that time, it was priced at $8.45 million. The price increase was due to the renovations that had been done to the place. Unfortunately, there were no takers. The house was then taken off the market in November 2017.
The house was once again listed in early 2018 with the reduced price of $7.995 million. As 2018 ended and there were still no takers, the "Dunkirk" star decided to lower the price further. Harry eventually sold the house for $6 million, $800,000 less than what he paid for back in 2016.
Harry also has a home in the U.S. — a a three-bedroom condominium unit in New York's hip Tribeca neighborhood.
Following the sale of his Hollywood Hills home, Harry bought his second home in north London for $10.9 million. His new posh pad is described as a semi-detached Georgian-style mansion which boasts of five bedrooms and four bathrooms. It also has a screening room and a game room.
Harry's other London home is a four-bedroom house located in an exclusive "paparazzi-proof" residential area. The house is said to be worth $3.6 million.
It remains to be seen if the 25-year-old One Direction member, who first bought a house when he was only 18 years old, will continue to buy and sell houses. He just might buy another LA home if he gets cast as Prince Eric in the live action version of Disney's "The Little Mermaid."
