Musician and former “One Direction” member Harry Styles was robbed at knifepoint on Valentine’s Day, as per multiple reports. But, thankfully, the “Adore You” singer handled the situation calmly and escaped it unharmed.
Reportedly, the 26-year-old was in Hampstead, London, when he was allegedly threatened during a night out by a robber, who demanded cash from him. And instead of worsening the situation by denying giving him the money or engaging in a fight, Styles calmly handled the situation by giving him the cash he wanted. The local police have confirmed the incident to the UK’s Mirror, one of the many publications that reported the event.
“He actually played it pretty cool, quickly giving the assailant cash, keeping himself and the guy calm and getting the situation over with,” a witness told the publication. “Understandably though it left him very shaken up afterwards.”
E! News also confirmed the news after the Metropolitan Police told that they are investigating reports of a knife point robbery in Spaniards Road, Hampstead.
"Officers were contacted on Saturday, 15 February regarding the incident which happened at 23.50hrs on Friday, 14 February," the police stated. "It was reported that a man in his 20s was approached by another man and threatened him with a knife. The victim was not injured however, cash was taken from him."
While many would be shaken up by the incident, Styles has been pretty calm about the whole situation and is yet to publicly address the robbery. He was even spotted at the red carpet at the 2020 BRIT Awards in a maroon Gucci suit with a purple sweater, lace-collared blue shirt, lavender manicure, and pearl necklace. He was the nominee for British Male Solo Artist and British Album of the Year at the ceremony, where he gave an electrifying performance with Lizzo.
He also paid his silent tribute to the late Caroline Flack, his ex-girlfriend, who committed suicide on February 15. Harry Styles sported a subtle black ribbon on the left lapel of his suit, mourning her death. Styles dated Flack in 2011 after One Direction gained popularity on “X-Factor.”
