As Harry, Meghan Deal With Home Invaders, Queen Snubs Sussexes For Balmoral Retreat

Prince Harry and his family were reportedly snubbed for an invite from the Queen to her Balmoral estate on Monday as security problems in Harry’s Montecito estate continue to increase, much to the couple’s chagrin.

Though multiple outlets including The Sun claimed that Prince Harry and his family would be included in the invites to Queen Elizabeth’s annual summer break in Scotland, multiple sources close to the Crown confirmed that Harry and his family have received no such invite, according to Page Six.

Many who originally reported Harry and his family’s supposed Balmoral invite said that it would be a good time for the Queen to bond with her great grandchildren Archie and Lilibet, the latter she only met during the Platinum Jubilee.

Lilibet, being born after Harry and Meghan left their post as working royals, has not had many opportunities to meet and get to know the Royal Family, with Prince William and Kate being unable to let their children meet Lilibet during the Platinum Jubilee due to business in Wales.

Prince Charles, however, was able to meet Lilibet in what was reported as an “emotional” meeting between him and the family.

Harry’s problems extend beyond being snubbed from a Balmoral invite, however, as the security in their Montecito estate is being put into question after two intruders were caught on their property just two weeks apart in May, the New York Post reported.

The couple has had problems with intruders before, including one on Christmas Eve in 2020 who was asked not to return to the premises. However, with Harry’s battle with the police in the United Kingdom regarding their security in the country, many are wondering why Harry is not putting more focus on their safety in their new adopted home.

“Maybe Harry should concentrate more on the security in California rather than making complaints about his security in Britain,” Angela Levin, Harry’s biographer, said. “After two intruder alerts in 12 days, surely he should be making the protection of his family in the U.S. his priority.”
