Money is considered the root of most evil although it may depend on the amount of money involved. In the case of a hairdresser and her boyfriend of 12 months, an argument over $3 led to an unlikely end.
Per reports, a 28-year-old woman who worked as a hairdresser was arrested for stabbing to death her 21-year-old boyfriend. The woman was identified as Ebiere Ezekiel who stabbed her partner of 12 months, Godgift Aboh, at their home located in Obele, Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
It appears that the couple argued after Aboh slapped Ezekiel for questioning him about missing money. Things got heated with the 28-year-old woman picking up a knife and stabbing Aboh in the stomach. Ezekiel would, later on, tell the police that she regretted stabbing her boyfriend in the stomach during the argument.
Ezekiel was among those presented by authorities who were charged with different crimes. This included kidnapping, murder, burglary, stealing and vandalism.
Bayelsa Commissioner of Police Mike Okoli also presented someone named Promise Olive who killed his 17-year-old girlfriend, Esther Uko after slapping her twice.
Others who were facing charges include Iniobong Maffat, accused of conspiring with gang members to rob Mr. Nhene Chinedu. Per Okoli, Maffat carjacked Chinedu’s Toyota Corolla which was loaded with pharmaceutical drugs along the Sani Abacha Expressway in Yenagoa.
Lastly, there was the case of four for burglary and theft of a shop in Amarata. Arrested were Gigi Christopher, Kingsley Okulolo, Godbless Raymond and Vivian Christopher.
Among the items recovered under the possession of the accused included one locally-made single-barrelled gun, two generators, a 43-inch LG TV, a 32-inch LG led TV, a 24-inch LG TV and an invoice.
Okoli added that all confessed to their crime. He also encouraged the public to continue to support them as they try to keep crime rates at a minimum.
