Stories of Gwen Stefani forcing his country singer beau Blake Shelton to get fit and lose weight won’t die down. If she isn’t hollering back, there could be some truth to this, right?

Wrong. Gossip Cop is on it again, and this time, the site found out that this rumor is a recycled one, albeit unsuccessful. Reporter Griffin Matis analyzed that tabloids are simply conjuring up this fictional scenario because Stefani has been a vegetarian for so long, while Shelton never shied away from “red neck” personality, which is plagued with the stereotype of hunting and eating red meat.

“Any time you see a story about us, it’s either that it’s a fake relationship or that we’re already married,” Shelton said in 2017 at the “Today” show. “Or, you know, I’m sneaking behind her back to eat meat!” he joked.

The news was published last week by Globe, where an unidentified source allegedly claimed that the singer-songwriter demands Shelton to stay away from meat and bad carbs to lose at least 20 pounds. The insider even shared that Shelton had great difficulty catching up with Stefani’s healthy lifestyle over the years, which involves regular workouts and a vegetarian diet.

“Giving up his meat and potatoes makes him sad, but he’ll do it if it pleases her,” the phony source added. Last January, sister publication National Enquirer also used the same story, reporting that Stefani gave the country heartthrob an ultimatum to “get fit or get dumped.” As expected, Gossip Cop also debunked that one, with the “No Doubt” lead singer openly expressing that Shelton was the one who motivated her to go to the gym.

Stefani and Shelton are now on the fourth year of their relationship since coaching together for “The Voice” in the fall of 2015. The two are reuniting as coaches on the reality show’s upcoming season, and it still feels like the first time.

“They’re coming up on their four-year anniversary, but Blake and Gwen still act like lovebirds,” a source said to People. “They can’t believe how quickly time has flown by, and their relationship is very solid. Blake worships her, and Gwen feels very secure with him.”
