Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani reportedly got married on Stefani’s 50th birthday. A recent tabloid report claimed that the couple secretly tied the knot earlier this month as they celebrated her birthday in the woods.
Since they got together, there have been several rumors of Shelton and Stefani secretly tying the knot. While the couple has denied many times that they’re already married, a new report claimed that the wedding rumors are true this time.
Shelton and Stefani went on a camping getaway in California earlier this month to celebrate Stefani’s birthday. However, the tabloid claimed that the couple went there for a double celebration — Stefani’s 50th birthday and their union as husband and wife.
According to the tabloid, Shelton and Stefani tied the knot in a clandestine ceremony in the woods on the day Stefani celebrated her birthday. Stefani was reportedly clueless about the wedding because Shelton intended it to be a surprise for her. The moment the female singer arrived at a canopy in the woods, she was reportedly surprised to see a minister waiting.
“Gwen thought she was just going camping for her birthday with Blake,” the unidentified source told the tabloid. “But what she got turned out to be the surprise of a lifetime,” the source added.
Shelton reportedly sought the help of some of Stefani’s friends and family in organizing the intimate wedding ceremony. Stefani’s sister reportedly helped Shelton find a good dress for her sister, as well as flowers and the rings for the ceremony.
“It was a fairytale wedding under the stars, and Gwen said it was one of the best moments of her life,” the source said. The source added that Stefani was absolutely blown away by the whole thing and couldn’t believe that Shelton was able to pull off such a huge surprise.
The source went on to claim that Shelton and Stefani are planning to have a second bigger wedding in Los Angeles or Oklahoma. The second wedding will reportedly include more of their friends who weren’t able to witness their first intimate wedding, including their “The Voice” cojudges Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Adam Levine.
While the idea of Shelton pulling off a surprise wedding for Stefani sounds very special, Gossip Cop said the tabloid report was not true. The publication reached out to sources close to both singers, and they assured that no secret wedding happened on Stefani’s 50th birthday.
Gossip Cop also called out the tabloid for consistently making up stories about Shelton and Stefani in recent months. “The tabloid’s inconsistency and constant fiction is flat-out staggering,” Gossip Cop noted.
