Marvel's latest galactic superhero film "Guardians of the Galaxy" has released in theaters today, Aug. 1. The film starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Batista, Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel has already received positive reviews from fans and critics alike. But the real question is what does Marvel reveal during the post credit scene at the end of "Guardians of the Galaxy?" **SPOILER ALERT - If you do not want to know anything about the film stop reading now.

The scene begins with Benicio del Toro's character, The Collector, who is sitting in the same room he was in at the end of "Thor: The Dark World." He looks beat up and sad. We then see Cosmo, the dog in the space suit, licks the Collector's face to comfort him. Cosmo first appeared in an issue of "Nova," and has continued to aid the Guardians in recent years, so there continuity connections here. The Collector then drinks from a bright green cup but doesn't speak a word.

Multiple reports say that a voice is heard off-screen asking the Collector, "What do you let him lick you like that for?" The camera then pans over and reveals the voice to be Howard the Duck. The clip ends with the title card, "Howard the Duck created by Steve Gerber and Val Mayerik."

This sequence feels like one of those post-credit scenes we've seen from Marvel in the past which is just for laughs. Similar to the end credit scenes in "Iron Man 3." While its cool to remind the fans that Howard the Duck is a part of the Marvel Universe we don't see a standalone movie for the character coming anytime soon.

Meanwhile Marvel has already green-lit a sequel to "Guardians of the Galaxy" which is expected to come out July 28, 2017.
