We may have some insight as to what Rockstar has planned for the next “Grand Theft Auto V” DLC. Thanks to modder Chr0m3 x MoDz over at Se7enSins it seems that jetpacks may soon exist in the world of GTA! According to IGN Chr0m x MoDz spotted the source code in Rockstar’s latest 1.12 update, which repeatedly mentions a jetpack.
Don’t believe us? Check out a copy of the source code below. A lot of sites, even the modder, believe this newfound code further delves into the Mt. Chiliad mystery -- which is a bunch of symbols and pictures of UFO’s randomly placed all over Los Santos. As IGN reports, many people believe solving the riddle of Mt. Chiliad will grant players access to a jetpack and from the look of this new code, they may be correct.
Unless you are a modder yourself it may be difficult to comprehend the technicalities, but Chr0m x MoDz specifically highlights the inclusion of jet packs in the game through showing screenshots of strings of code that literally have the words "jetpack." Interestingly, he also points out that this didn't appear in Rockstar's last update of "Grand Theft Auto V."
Check out the code below along with a video from the modder explaining what he found.
