Rockstar has delayed the distribution of the $500,000 GTA$ planned to compensate players for all the "GTA Online" launch issues. Earlier this month Rockstar announced they would be handing out in-game money to anyone that played "Grand Theft Auto Online" during the month of October. $500,000 was promised to those players to be deposited in two payments of $250,000 and the first was due to hit this week. Each of the two GTA$ 250,000 deposits were to be made by Rockstar and should automatically appeared in the in-game GTA Online bank accounts of eligible players.

The cash is still on its way but now there is no set date for it to arrive to players. Rockstar announced via Newswire that the studio wanted to make sure all the game's bugs are gone before they send the GTA$. "We hope to have an update for you on that very soon," it reads. "As others have mentioned here, we of course want to make sure player progress loss issues are addressed before providing everyone with their GTA$500K. Thanks for your patience and please stay tuned." Since the release of "Grand Theft Auto Online" earlier this month gamers have reported tons of errors from: cloud server errors, connection issues, and lost game progress and characters in these first days of GTA Online.

This news of the delay comes after the news that repeat missions payouts have been halved in the game. "We understand players do like to enjoy a mission multiple times, so rather than remove the possibility of doing so, we've allowed replays of these missions at a reduced payout. Many players can get very good at a mission and beat it much faster in consecutive tries, so we've adjusted these payouts to match that case." This move from Rockstar is most likely an effort to stop the economy from spiraling out of control and to stop players from getting too much GTA$ too fast, especially before the stimulus pack hits.
