There's a lot of anticipation ahead of the "GTA 5" release date for PS4 and Xbox One, which will arrive on Nov. 18. However, with just a little more than a month away from its official launch, we are beginning to notice a problem that can potentially become very serious.
According to a screenshot that was posted up on the GTA Forums, a description for GTA 5 on PS4 noted that the video game will require 50GB of available hard drive space in order to perform its download and installation. To make matters potentially worse, this 50GB requirement is before extra content updates or available DLC.
While we expected the next-gen title to require significantly more space, the 50GB requirement is near absurd. This effectively makes "GTA 5" the biggest game in size for PS4. According to reports, the new next-generation "GTA 5" will not only offer redesigned graphics, higher resolution, and dramatically improved draw depth, but will also offer a denser traffic system, enhanced weather effects, radio and music selection. In addition, rumors suggest the new "GTA 5" for PS4 and Xbox One will feature an optional first-person mode, both in vehicles and on foot.
Perhaps just as important as the new visual upgrades is the promise for new DLC packs available once "GTA 5" arrives to PS4 and Xbox One. Two of the most exciting updates in the near future include the infamous "GTA 5" Heist Update as well as a Zombies DLC that would be perfect for Halloween. Unfortunately, details regarding release dates for the DLC are limited.
The "GTA 5" release date for PS4 and Xbox One is Nov. 18. A PC version will follow on Jan. 27, 2015. Stay tuned as we learn more about the upcoming release in the weeks ahead.
