As far as we're concerned, Rockstar has only been delivering bad news lately. Yesterday, we reported that the "GTA 5" PC release date has been delayed until March 24. Moreover, Rockstar Games has yet to announce an official release date for "GTA 5" Online Heists. However, this has not stopped "GTA 5" tipsters from digging around to find out what exactly Rockstar has been working on. According to the latest rumors, a new "GTA 5" singleplayer DLC pack is currently in development.
The latest "GTA 5" leak is brought to you by tipster Funmw2, who discovered new coding inside the game files of one of the latest "GTA 5" updates. Funmw2 shared the two following tweets:1-Remember the unknown casino dlc? ( "Trevor" option for DLC selection screen ) ? The main script is called "main_AGT". 2- Something to do with agents or maybe based of "Agent" game ? "the world of counter-intelligence, espionage and political assassinations".
According to renowned YouTuber and "GTA 5" tipster DomisLive, the new "main_AGT" code and the rumored "GTA 5" Assassination DLC that Funmw2 is referring to dates all the way back to a previous idea that Rockstar titled "Agent" that was supposed to be released in 2009 for the PS3. If the rumors are true, it seems as though Rockstar is finally ready to unveil its "Agent" video game, albeit five years later.
"Agent takes players on a paranoid journey into the world of counter-intelligence, espionage and political assassinations during the height of the Cold War at the end of the 1970s," stated a Rockstar Games press release back in June, 2009. Obviously, the original Cold War concept will not carry over to the current "GTA 5" single player campaign. That said, it would be exciting to play as Trevor and carry out political assassinations planned by Lester.
According to DomisLive, there are a total of 22 missions that are planned for the single player DLC update and not all will be political assassinations. It will be interesting to see some FIB vs. IAA counterintelligence missions in the mix as well.
There is no release date for the "GTA 5" Assassination DLC for single player campaign mode, but we expect that the update will not arrive until after the highly anticipated "GTA 5" Heists update. Stay tuned as we learn more in the months ahead!
