Laura Loomer is now attracting more attention than former President Donald Trump in every single state across the US.

According to Google Trends, interest in the controversial far-right personality has been rapidly climbing for the past two days, greatly outpacing Trump, whose search prowess has waned significantly since peaking during the presidential debate against Democratic nominee Kamala Harris on Tuesday.

Two days before the debate, Loomer posted a tweet on X (formerly Twitter) targeting Vice President Kamala Harris's Indian heritage, writing that if Harris wins the 2024 election,"the White House will smell like curry & White House speeches will be facilitated via a call center."

The tweet has since had its visibility limited on X in accordance with its rules against Hateful Conduct.

Loomer, a self-described "proud Islamaphobe," was seen exiting Trump's private plane before the debate, and appeared alongside the Republican nominee at Sept. 11 memorial services. Loomer has called the 2001 attacks, an "inside job."

Questioned about Loomer's X post and her various controversial positions, Trump claimed he was just hearing about it for the first time.

"She's a strong person," the 2024 candidate said, referring to Loomer as a "free spirit."

"She's got strong opinions," he added, "and I don't know what she said, but that's not up to me. She's a supporter."

Trump's failure to condemn Loomer, as photos of the two appearing congenial circulate the internet, has sparked criticism from Republican leaders, including Senator Lindsey Graham and even the outspoken Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene.
