Google I/O
What to expect at Google I/O 2014. Google I/O

It's that time of year again for Google I/O's annual developer-focused conference. Last year instead of introducing new services Google just announced updates to current apps like Google+ and Google Maps. This year, however, Google is rumored to be revealing a plethora of services and products from a new operating system to a new line of devices. Check out these four things we may see at Google I/O this year.

1. Android 5.0 - It's about that time for Google to reveal a new Android OS. According to Laptop Mag Android 5.0 is expected to include an updated UI, as well as cross-platform messaging and 64-bit processing capabilities. But one of the biggest questions is the name for Android 5.0. It will most likely start with an "L" and it will definitely be something sweet, many report it will be dubbed "Android 5.0 Lollipop."

2. Google Fit - Google will most likely reveal a rival to Apple's Health initiative and accompanying app with its own. According to Forbes Google Fit will aggregate data from your disparate fitness apps and devices, providing you with a single interface to view your health-related information.

3. Android Silver - It has been said Google is getting rid of its Nexus line in favor of a premium high-end line of devices named Android Silver. The initiative will require smartphone and tablet manufacturerer's to meet certain standards in order to gain that Silver branding. Business Insider reports the move can help Google ensure its rank next to Apple as a developer of high-end devices with premium mobile software.

4. Google in the Car - While Apple may have beat Google to the punch with intergrated car service we may finally get more of a look at Android in the Car at Google I/O. Since the initial announcement at CES 2014 when Google revealed it was partnering with automotive giants Audi, Hyundai and more to start the Open Automotive Alliance there has been no news but Google I/O is the perfect place to showcase more of the service.
