After almost a month in hiatus, "Glee" finally returns this Thursday with episode 18, "Shooting Star." But eager fans do not have enough with knowing what's coming this week -- they need to look ahead to the Thursday April 18 episode in which Rachel will, after much talk this season, have her desired audition for the Broadway classic "Funny Girl."

The teen diva has been getting ready for her big day for months, but in episode 19 she will get a push from somebody very special to her: her mom. That's right, Idina Menzel will return as Shelby, and will help her birth daughter get ready for her best performance.

Rachel will also throw time back with her choice of song -- she will perform Journey's "Don't Stop Believing," which was a stepping stone for the early New Directions and surely will bring some tender memories in our New York lofters.

Santana will also have a major role in the episode, starting her job at legendary Coyote Ugly. But, as usually happens with the feisty Latina, things will not be as great as she thinks they are ... and fans will get a glimpse of the yearnings of her heart.

On the other side of the country, things are heating up for Finn as he gets ready to join college and pursue his calling of being a teacher. As of now, it looks like the ex-fiances are going to be miles apart, but if one thing Glee has taught us is that things are not always what they look ...

"Glee: Sweet Dreams" will air Thursday April 18 on FOX at 8, EDT.
