What is better than having "Glee" as your guilty pleasure? To combine it with your favorite guilty pleasure songs, which will all be performed in the next episode, courtesy of the New Directions.
Our choir high schoolers will receive the assignment to come out of the closet ... musically, of course. They will have to reveal to the class what songs they are embarrassed to admit they like.
Needless to say, they will take the commandment to heart and pour their talent into these so-called shaming tunes. Brittany, Tina, Marley, Kitty and Unique will sing the Spice Girls classic "Wannabe," while Sam and Blaine will put their sunglasses on for a version of Wham's "Wake Me Up." There will also be a chance for American classics like Barry Manilow's "Copacabana" or Phil Collin's "Against All Odds."
The peak performance of the episode, however, will be a group-large tackle on ABBA's megahit "Mamma Mia," shared between Lima and New York.
"Guilty Pleasures" will also pick up several plot lines that have been unresolved. Blaine, who has been grieving Kurt for most of this season, will confess to Sam the feelings he has been harboring for him in secret -- and demand to know if they are requited. And although nothing will be confirmed until Thursday, it looks like Sam is not indifferent to them, even though he is officially dating Brittany.
In New York, drama ensues. After the relief of knowing that Rachel is not actually pregnant, her relationship with Brody is about to reach a new level. After last week's revelation by Santana, who posed as a client for Brody and uncovered him in a hotel room, the bomb was bound to explode soon. Santana will reveal her findings to a shocked Rachel. It is still unknown how she decides to proceed, though we do know that both her and Brody will perform a version of Radiohead's bona fide rock anthem "Creep." Message received?
"Glee: Guilty Pleasures" will air on Thursday. March 20 at 8 p.m. on FOX.
