Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady welcomed their second child on Wednesday.
The couple had a baby girl named Vivian Lake, who was born at home.
"We feel so lucky to have been able to experience the miracle of birth once again and are forever grateful for the opportunity to be the parents of another little angel," Bundchen said. "Thank you all for your support and well wishes. We wish you and your families many blessings."
This is the couple's second child together. They have a three-year-old son named Benjamin,
Bundchen never confirmed the pregnancy but was always seen flaunting her body in bikinis.
In 2010, Bundchen said that there should be a "a worldwide law" that mandates moms to "breastfeed their babies for six months."
"Some people (in the US) think they don't have to breastfeed and I think, 'Are you going to give chemical food to your child when they are so little?'"
Bundchen later said that becoming a new mom has "brought a lot of questions, and she feels like she in a constant search for answers on what might be the best for her child."
"I am sure if I would just be sitting talking about my experiences with other mothers, we would just be sharing opinions," she wrote in a blog post. "I understand that everyone has their own experience and opinions and I am not here to judge. I believe that bringing a life into this world is the single most important thing a person can undertake and it can also be the most challenging. I think as mothers we are all just trying our best."
Bündchen, 32, and Brady, 35, were married in February 2009.
