An Indian man couldn't take a girl turning down his proposal. After the refusal, he went to her workplace and molested her. He has been arrested by MHB Colony police.
The 25-year-old man used to allegedly leave a rose for the 19-year-old girl outside a Dahisar-based clinic, in Mumbai where she works.
The police said that the accused had been doing this for more than a month, according to Mid Day. When he finally proposed to her, she rejected it. The accused, identified as Suresh Bogani, then forcefully entered her workplace and molested her. The victim is employed as a compounder at an ENT facility.
The police have found CCTV footage from outside the clinic, where the man, who works in a shop in Dahisar East, can be seen leaving a rose on a daily basis.
“Every day I reached the clinic, I found a rose left for me by the door. When I found out who was doing this, I complained to the doctor. After being scolded at, he stopped harassing me," the girl said in her statement to the police.
"But on May 7, when I was alone at the clinic, he molested me. Then I decided to lodge a police complaint," she added.
In another incident, a 24-year-old Utah man, who didn't want to take no for an answer regarding his marriage proposal, was held a few days ago. He was accused of aggravated kidnapping.
Kolbe Lee James was also taken to the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of assault, making a threat of violence and electronic communication harassment.
James and his girlfriend were out together looking for an apartment to rent. But James "became angry with the victim due to the victim's lack of commitment toward marriage," said a police booking affidavit, reported KSL. James ended up driving "aggressively" and he told the woman that he would not let her leave his car until she agreed to marry him.
According to the police, he drove to a parking lot of an abandoned business in South Jordan and shouted at her. When the woman told him "she did not want to commit to marrying" him, James caught hold of her wrists and threatened to murder her. He allegedly refused to drive her back to her own car. He told her he wouldn't go back until she "made the right decision."
The woman told officers that she was "held hostage" in the car for about six hours. When she finally reached her car, she drove to the West Jordan Police Department.
