Most kids that steal their mother's car are going through a rebel streak and are acting up against their parents for attention. However, a 6-year-old girl from Pittsburgh stole her sleeping mother's gray BMW 3 Series because she really missed seeing her father, who lives just across town.

Inevitably, the 6-year-old's trip came to an end after colliding the BMW into a utility pole in snowy conditions. Thankfully, nobody was hurt during the joyride.

According to Pittsburgh police Sgt. Jerry Parker, the girl was tall for her age, which allowed her to reach the pedals. "How she knew how to operate a car, your guess is as good as mine," Parker said.

Eyewitnesses also spoke with CBS Pittsburgh today.

"When she was coming toward me, I was like, 'what is she doing?'" neighbor Rommie Hawkins said. "I couldn't tell it was a young girl at the time, so I kind of just stepped behind the tree. She hit the curb here, then she took off and I was looking at her, that's when I saw that she was a child and I was like, 'stop, stop, stop.'"

According to police reports, the girl hit a total of two parked cars, even pushing one of the vehicles into a third, before she finally hit the utility pole. The police have not decided whether the girl or her parents will face any charges.

Despite the shortened trip, the 6-year-old girl finally got to see her daddy after all. The father eventually reunited with his daughter at the scene and brought her home after the accident.
