Gerardo Ortiz’s fans are not pleased with the singer. The Mexican singer was set to his the stage in Philadelphia and when he didn’t, fans went crazy.

According to FOX News Latino, angry fans took their frustrations to the next level when they completely destroyed Ortiz’s set. Videos have been posted online of fans trashing the stage, smashing speakers, destroying equipment and breaking instruments.

Ortiz was set to perform Saturday night at the Explanada de Philadelphia venue in Pennsylvania, but the star never took the stage. His band unintentionally led fans to believe that he was indeed coming out by playing a few songs before it was announced that Ortiz would not be playing the venue that night.

The Banda Machos were also setto perform as well.

An apology was posted on Ortiz’s Facebook page on Saturday saying that he couldn’t perform due to health conditions. The problem is that earlier on the day of the concert, the singer posted a photo on Facebook hanging out with friends toasting with beer.

To say that the fans at the show did damage to his set would be an understatement.

According to the Hispanic News Network, fans caused a whopping $30,000 in damage.

The Ortiz fans went over the metal fences and began to destroy the sound equipment. The light engineer says that out of 20 set of lights, only 8 survived. The sound tech confirmed that all of the sound cables and mics were stolen, a drum set was destroyed, and speakers were damaged.

Rod Rodriguez from Rodriguez Productions says that Ortiz’s management has recahed an agreement about the loss. They will continue to work with Ortiz on future endeavors.
