Two unaccompanied young girls were attacked and bullied by older children while at New Ferry Park in Wirral, United Kingdom. The younger girls were attacked by the gang. One of the bullies even tried to set one of the girls on fire. The 10-year-old was left with grazes and redness due to the attack. Merseyside police confirmed that they are investigating the incident.

Around 1:15 p.m. on Sunday, April 18 the two friends were at the park alone. They were targeted by a group of older children aged between 12 and 13-years. The boys and girls started bulling the young girls. They had a drink thrown over them. After the verbal and physical assault, one of the juvenile miscreants tried to set fire to their victim’s coat. The young girl was saved from grave injuries as the bully’s arson attempt failed.

Daily Star reported that the victim who was nearly set on fire had redness and grazes to her face. After the incident was reported, Merseyside Police launched an investigation. Investigating the incident, Merseyside Police Detective Darren Taylor said that the police are enquiring with the locals. He also urged parents to talk to their children and come forward with any information that could help find the attackers.

In New York, a seven-year-old boy was charged with third-degree rape of another child on March 23. New York State Troopers had been alerted of the incident involving the juvenile on Thanksgiving, Nov. 26, 2020. While the police did not release details of the case, they shared that the case was being handled at Family Court. In New York, children of and above the age of seven can face criminal charges.
