Mexican telenovela actor and mode, Gabriel Soto is suing tabloids for writing fake news about him. The latest one is that he's allegedly the real father of Marjorie De Sousa's baby, Matías Gil. Soto is tired of rumors and demands the press to no write and publish more unfounded stories about him, because according to him, his daughters have been affected. Soto, 42, is married to the actress Géraldine Bazán, and together they have 2 daughters Elissa Marie Soto, born February 17, 2009 and Alexa Miranda Soto born February 19, 2014.
In a video published by "Despierta America" the Mexican assured that he has been taking legal action for a year with all those who slander him. "I have a lawsuit in process over an editorial," says the actor, claiming he cannot give many details. "We've been in this for a year."
When reporters questioned him about taking legal action on rumors that he is the real father of Matías Gregorio Gil, the son of Venezuelan actress Marjorie de Sousa with actor Julián Gil, Soto said he was tired and said that "the most delicate part is that people believe it," referring to the fake news.
In an interview with the Mexican radio show "Fórmula Espectacular" Gabriel Soto specifically mentioned the column that published the newspaper Reforma, in which the paternity of the child is questioned. "I discussed it with my lawyer... We are weighing, but probably a lawsuit will also be made, because those are totally and utterly lies and slanders that have no basis, so it’s enough."
The actor also said that he has not spoken with either Marjorie de Sousa or Julian Gil, whom he considers his friends.
