The beauty of hot rodding is in its simple formula: find the tiniest car out there and shoehorn the most brutal engine possible.

When BMW first introduced its 1 Series M Coupe, enthusiasts were excited to discover the new baby M coupe had managed to produce just as much power as the previous generation M3 sports car.

Now, tuning house G-Power has unveiled what might as well be called hot rod-ception, or the hot rodding of a hot rod. Taking a standard 1 Series M Coupe, the tuner swaps in a supercharged version of the V8 powerplant found in the current big brother M3. The result is a new BMW coupe called the G1 Hurricane RS. Power output gets raised to a full 600-hp and 427 lb.-ft. of torque.

To handle the newfound performance, G-Power has installed the same uprated dual-clutch gearbox from the M3 as well.

The new numbers don't lie -- the G1 Hurricane RS catapults from a standstill all the way to 125 mph in just over 12 seconds and rockets ahead to a top speed of 205 mph.

Taming the new car's buffet of power will be a new set of performance carbon ceramic disk brakes capable of consistent repeated decceleration. What's more, the new braking system also reduces unsprung weight by 50 percent.

A wicked beast, G-Power will only build 30 examples of the G1 Hurricane RS.
