As the aughts emo kids grapple with news of at least 65 punk groups gathering for the “When We Were Young Festival” in Las Vegas this year, the rave has already been thrown into a shambolic mess after one concertgoer claimed a customer service agent sent her explicit photos and called her a “b****” and “c***.”

According to Cristina Amaya, her fever dream of pop-punk nostalgia has already died down when she opted to cancel her $2,600 outing with friends, the Daily Beast reported.

The gaming director said a customer service agent and their supervisor, who are allegedly from the third-party ticketing agency Front Gate Tickets, sent her a pornographic photo of multiple penises while they were on the phone for the ticket purchase.

“They said I deserved dick pics because I had a whiny Karen voice,” Amaya recalled of her ordeal. Eventually, she decided to block the customer service number when they reportedly tried calling her back.

Accordingly, numerous fans had been pouring cold water on the idea of the October concert, which will be headlined by longtime pop-punk favorites, such as My Chemical Romance, Paramore, and Sleeping With Sirens, Slate noted.

After the Oct. 22 and 23 dates entirely sold out, presenter Live Nation recently announced a third-day set will open on Oct. 29 in Las Vegas. Initially, the promoter promised performances from 65 bands set in just one day.

As such, the music festival is deemed too good to be true by many following its announcement in January. Skeptics fear the giant fest could turn out to be "capitalistic nostalgia" as the tag #whenwewereyoungfest on TikTok garners 18 million views and counting.

Some also say the star-studded gathering might become the biggest scam of the year that it has since been dubbed Fyre 2.0, a nod to the fraudulent "Fyre" Festival in 2017 organized by con artist Billy McFarland and rapper Ja Rule, according to Music Times.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson of the festival released a statement urging fans to stay up to date with their promotions in the lead-up to the October punk carousal.

Notably, Live Nation handled the infamous "Astroworld" Festival, which left at least 10 people dead and dozens more injured last year following a stampede. The brand has since vowed that the safety measures for the upcoming fest have been "thoroughly planned."
