“Frozen 3” is being talked about lately as fans are hoping that Disney will produce a sequel after the second movie was finally released on Nov. 22. Fans waited for six years for the second installment and since there are still many things that the audience wants to know about Elsa and Anna, they are now clamoring for another movie.
The latest film sequel revealed the truth about Elsa and why she was born with her frosty powers. Traveling to an enchanted place with Anna, Olaf and Kristoff, they have discovered their roots and where Elsa got her abilities. Since Disney already disclosed the origin of her powers, does this mean that everything has been cleared already and “Frozen 3” is not a possibility anymore?
The movie’s cast member, director and writer have the answers to the questions regarding the third film. Variety reported that Alfred Molina (King Agnarr) said that he heard there will be no more part three.
“Well, I don’t think there’ll be a three,” he said during the interview. “That’s what I’ve heard, but who knows, who knows?”
On the other hand, Chris Buck, co-director and Jennifer Lee, writer and co-director of “Frozen 2” said that a third film may not be necessary because the first and second movies already told a “complete story.” However, both of them said that they are not closing their doors for the possibility of the third sequel.
"For me finishing Frozen 2 felt final,” Lee told UK’s Yahoo! Movies. "But we always say 'never say never.' I think what made this one special is that we'd both confessed that we didn’t want to leave this world. We naively just went into this because we love the characters and we could see more story."
As for Buck, during his interview with Insider, he said almost the same thing - that “Frozen 3” will not happen. He said that even at this time, they have no plans to produce the movie because the story is already complete. But then again, he added that “nothing ever closes the door” so this only means one thing.
To conclude, while Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck clearly said that there is no plan for “Frozen 3,” there is a chance that it will still be made in the future. Perhaps, a new storyline will be written and pave the way for the third movie.
