Fox News host Brian Kilmeade broke ranks with President Donald Trump and his colleagues by insisting that Russian President Vladimir Putin is "the bad guy" and warning that "Ukraine cannot lose."

Since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Trump and many of his allies in the right-wing media have increasingly pushed for ending U.S. aid to Ukraine, often downplaying Putin's aggression.

On Tuesday, Trump suspended all U.S. military assistance to Ukraine, arguing that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy must commit to peace talks, The Independent reported.

Trump also expressed frustration with Zelenskyy's remarks that the war's end was still far off, leading to an Oval Office confrontation where he and Vance criticized the Ukrainian leader.

Following Trump's decision, Kilmeade, a longtime Trump supporter, took a firm stance against the move. Posting on social media, he reminded his audience that Putin is responsible for the war.

"Can we all remember @KremlinRussia_E is the bad guy- they invaded - they kidnap kids - Whatever happens - Ukraine can not lose - eastern. Europe will be next," Kilmeade wrote on X.

During a tense "Fox & Friends" broadcast, Kilmeade clashed with his co-hosts, accusing them of siding with Putin and condemning their suggestion that the U.S. could pressure Ukraine further by restricting access to Elon Musk's Starlink internet system.

His colleagues then suggested Zelenskyy should be more grateful for U.S. support and pushed the idea of economic leverage over military aid.
