
The battle for the top spot between Charlie Sheen and Ashton Kutcher is on again and for the second time, Kutcher has overthrown Sheen.
Forbes has announced that Kutcher is at the top of its Highest-Paid TV Actors list, earning an estimated $24 million between May 2011 and May 2012. Sheen topped the list last year with $40 million.
Kuthcer, 33, took over Sheen's lead role on CBS' Two and a Half Men. The sitcom drawn in about 12.4 million viewers per episode and it is reportedly one of the most-watched sitcom on TV. According to Forbes, Kutcher was an early investor in Skype, Spotify and Airbnb and his investments are now worth $1 billion. He is also an active investor in Silicon Valley.
House's Hugh Laurie is second behind Kutcher, earning an estimated $18 million over the same period. House closed the curtains on the drama series in April after its eighth season. Laurie is now reportedly focusing on his music career. His 2011 album Let Them Talk topped the Billboard blues charts for the year.
Although Men of a Certain Age is canceled Ray Romano still managed to pull in $18 million. According to Forbes, Romano's earnings come from the classic Everybody Loves Raymond and his voicing of Manny in Ice Age.
30 Rock star Alec Balwin and NCIS actor Mark Hamon are both tied for fourth place with their $15 million earnings.
30 Rock is in its final season and Baldwin will voice a Santa Claus in DreamWorks Animation's Rise of the Guardians.
Hamon's NCIS draws in 19.7 million viewers per show and Hamon hasn't appeared in a major movie since NCIS debuted in 2003.
Tim Allen made $14 million and stars in ABC's Last Man Standing. According to Forbes, Allen still earns from Home Improvement and his work as the voice of Buzz Lightyear in the Toy Story series. He rounds out the top 5 highest paid actors list.
Two and Half Men's Jon Cryer earned $13 million; Grey's Anatomy's Patrick Dempsey earned $12 million; Big Bang Theory's Jim Parsons and Johnny Galecki both earned $8 million; and How I Met Your Mother's Jason Segel also earned $8 million.
