A Sunny Isles Beach man was arrested Tuesday evening after authorities say he jumped over a wall surrounding President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate.
Palm Beach police and U.S. Secret Service agents responded to the Mar-a-Lago Club at approximately 6:05 p.m. after 32-year-old Bijan T. Arceo was apprehended on the property.
Arceo gained access to the premises from South Ocean Boulevard via the north service gate, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by WPTV. Secret Service agents monitoring the area observed him climbing over the wall just south of a closed gate marked with multiple "No Trespassing" signs.
Authorities confirmed that Arceo had not entered the secure sweep area and was not authorized to be on the property. He was taken into custody without incident and charged with one count of occupied trespassing with intent to commit an offense.
Security measures at Mar-a-Lago have been heightened since Trump's return to the White House, with the estate once again serving as a high-profile residence and hub for presidential activities. Officials have not disclosed Arceo's motive for breaching the property, and the investigation is ongoing.
Arceo is currently being held at the Palm Beach County Jail pending a court hearing.
