A Florida bartender is soaking up all the praise and (internet fame) that’s coming his way, for conjuring up an epic move that kept a creepy pick-up artist at bay! A St. Petersburg drink-slinger, Max Gutierrez, recently witnessed a rather tricky situation while he was at work in the bar last week, and well, he took things to his hands much before things got weirder.

Shedding further insights into the episode, Trinity Allie took to Twitter to share how she and her friend were saved from a man who just wouldn’t stop hounding them until Gutierrez caught a vibe even before they alerted him. And thus, as reported by Fox News, the Hawaiian shirt-wearing bartender was quick to devise a smart plan: He sent a note to Allie that resembled a receipt but read “If this guy is bothering you, put your ponytail on your other shoulder, and I will have him removed. He’s giving me the creeps.”

Allie further maintained that the idea panned out as planned, and the creepy patron was out of the bar in no time. In a follow-up tweet, Allie further revealed how Gutierrez yelled, “You need to get the f—k away from these girls who clearly are not interested,” before kicking him out, as reported by New York Post.

The tweet amassed over 200,000 likes, with a volley of them lauding the mixologist for his snazzy yet proactive measure. “Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear Hawaiian shirts,” wrote an appreciative woman.

The tweet carried Gutierrez photo, which was taken after he happily accepted Allie’s request to pose for the picture after the incident. She however, clarified in the report that the photograph was taken after the fiasco was over, and not while she was being harassed.

Days later, Gutierrez tweeted that the sleazy patron made a return at the bar, but he was far from welcome.

Bars have been a common breeding place for untoward occurrences, largely meted out by abusers who lure unassuming women under the pretext of socializing. While safety measures have been upped in the recent past, authorities have always urged women to alert staffers if they were to get a whiff about anything seeming to be off.
