The final season of “The Flash” is happening on February 8, 2023, and a trailer has been released to start giving fans an idea of things to come.
The first trailer for “The Flash” season 9 is out, teasing that all is not yet over for Barry Allen (Grant Gustin).
In the official synopsis of “The Flash” Season 9, Barry Allen will try to reconnect with Iris West-Allen (Candice Patton) while facing a threat to the entire world.
Hence, Team Flash will be called on once again to save Central City as they confront a deadly group of rogues. That includes going up against one of the Scarlett Speedster’s deadly adversaries who will rise to the challenge to destroy “The Flash’s” legacy.
Among those already expected to appear include Javicia Leslie. The former Batwoman star will appear as “Red Death.” Aside from her, there is also allegedly an unnamed actor set to take on the role of Arrow villain Captain Boomerang.
In all, there are great expectations for the final season of “The Flash.” The cancellation was a bittersweet end for Gustin and he plans to end the series on a high note.
"It's been an incredible nearly 10 years of playing this character and getting to be a part of this show," he said. "I'm very excited to do this one final time, finish on our terms, and I'm going to enjoy every minute of it as much as I can," Gustin said.
The final season of “The Flash” will see 13 truncated episodes. The end of the season was announced in August with showrunner Eric Wallace expressing his gratitude to the people for helping in making the series’ run possible.
"Nine seasons! Nine years of saving Central City while taking audiences on an emotional journey full of heart, humor and spectacle," he said. "So many amazing people have given their talents, time and love to bring this wonderful show to life each week ... I want to say thank you to our phenomenal cast, writers, producers and crew over the years who helped make The Flash such an unforgettable experience for audiences around the world."
