Square Enix has released a new trailer for "Final Fantasy XV," well sort-of. The first two minutes of recently release sneak peak video is 2-minutes of previously released and per-rendered cut scenes that fans have already viewed. But for those who preserved through the trailer released at the Tokyo Game Show, then you actually saw how the game itself will actually play. The later portion of the trailer gives fans the first extended look at the Final Fantasy's game play and real-time battles.

Despite Squre Enix's intense secrecy surrounding the game, the trailer did shed some new light on the next installment. The game has been in the work for some time, "Final Fantasy XV" began development under the title, "Final Fantasy Versus XIII." The game which has been in development for about a decade, was officially renamed and announced Sony's ES presentation earlier this year, in addition Square Enix revealed that Final Fantasy's next installment will be developed as an Xbox One and PlayStation 4 title.

Following a second look at the game fans have realized this title will feature a less fantastical setting than its predecessors and will place a heavy emphasis on real-time combat. More specifically, the battles in "Final Fantasy XV" show fantastic and fluid game-play, as hero Noctis moves and fights as if he's in a straight action game. Square Enix is moving more into the action game category with the inclusion of third person shooters. While the news is slowly drugging in, the release date of "Final Fantasy XV" remains largely a mystery. With Square Enix refuses to even confirm or speculate on a year, it seems like fans of the franchise are in for a wait. 2014 seems like an optimistic prediction for the release, but hey maybe we will be pleasantly surprised! If you are dying to play something from the "Final Fantasy" family, "Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII" is currently slated for a worldwide release in the fall of 2013.
