FIFA 2023 Ratings Of Cristiano Ronaldo Nose Dives While Karim Benzema On Top

A list of football players, including Cristiano Ronaldo, is out. It reveals who will command the highest rankings in Fédération Internationale de Football Association 23 (FIFA) when the game launches on Sept. 30.

Ronaldo is widely regarded as one of the best footballers to ever play the game, and EA Sports has revealed his rating on FIFA 23.

Lionel Messi and Ronaldo, who earlier dominated the landscape, have found themselves dropping down the overall list from FIFA 22 to FIFA 23, according to ESPN. The two have claimed the top spots for more than 10 years. But a combination of time catching up with the two legends, new players on the global stage and performance changes are shuffling up the ranks.

Ronaldo is experiencing an underwhelming return to Manchester United. The Portuguese footballer has been relegated to mostly starting off the bench during this season. He has also not scored or assisted this season till now. So, he has surrendered his bronze place finish in the FIFA 22 ratings. He has fallen all the way down into eighth place in FIFA 23 with a rating of 90. Since FIFA 2011, this represents his lowest FIFA player rating.

As many as five players share the top spot in FIFA 23. It includes Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne.

According to Manchester Evening News, this will be the first FIFA title since FIFA 10 where neither Messi (ranked 5th) nor Ronaldo are the sole highest-rated player in the game.

Benzema is one of the players who has emerged on top, and it was hardly a surprise. It comes after a season that saw him exceed all expectations. He was leading the line for Real Madrid, winning LaLiga, the Champions League and scoring 44 goals in 46 games. The French striker rocketed to number one on the FIFA rankings.

The 34-year-old has enjoyed an impressive rise from a relatively humble 14th-place ranking in FIFA 22 to the top of the tree in FIFA 23. It is the biggest climb of any player in the Top 23. This is due to the footballer also getting the biggest individual rating improvement among the top players in the game, having been boosted from 89 to 91.
