Couldn't get enough Paul Walker in the summer hit flick "Fast & Furious 6"?
Well neither could we, and it seems Walker couldn't get enough of the action as well.
The action star is back in a new film titled "Vehicle 19," Where he plays newly released American convict Michael Woods who breaks parole, flees to Johannesburg to make things up with his girlfriend, is given the key to the wrong car at the airport, discovers a gun under his seat and a kidnapped girl in the trunk. He ultimately finds himself caught up in a political conspiracy involving top South African lawmen and driving for his life.
The most dynamic part about the film is it is shot entirely from the confines of a single car.
"I wanted to stay with somebody the whole time. I thought this could ramp up the pressure," said the film's director, Mukunda Michael Dewil to the website Bleeding Cool. "If you stay with somebody, the situation happens to you as well as them."
Dewil continues, "So I thought I could take the audience on this ride where they want escape but can't. They're stuck with this guy, and if I make his journey as dangerous and intense and under as much pressure as possible, I thought that could work. I thought about what the most difficult situation might be for someone where there's no escape, and I expanded from that point."
Dewil explained to the site that there were definitely problems he had to work out with shooting from a single car. "It's entertainment but you can lose your audience." He says, "I had to make it so that the character just couldn't get out and leave the car."
Fans have professed their love for the movie and if you're a die-hard fan of car chases and high octane action this movie is for you.
The film stars Paul Walker ("Fast & Furious" franchsie), Naima McLean, Gys de Villiers, Leyla Haidarian and Tshepo Maseko.
"Vehicle 19" will be in theaters June 14 so make sure to check out the trailer below.
