One of the most important things you can do in order to win your Fantasy Football league is stay on top of your waiver wire. Finding that gem player that no one else knows about can make the difference each and every week.
Here are five players you should consider signing for Week 10.
1. Rishard Matthews
Rishard Matthews is on pace to have the best season of his young career. He’s on pace for nearly 1,000 receiving yards and he already has a career high five touchdown grabs this season. Matthews not only leads the Tennessee Titans in touchdown receptions, but he hasn’t fumbled even once thus far. Marcus Mariota is looking towards Matthews more and more each week knowing he has a reliable wide out to throw to. Also worth noting: the Green Bay Packers have the 20th ranked pass defense.
2. Devontae Booker
The Denver Broncos have lost three of their last five games, and a lot of fans are concerned about that 23rd ranked rushing attack. C.J. Anderson is still out with his meniscus injury so it’s Devontae Booker’s time to shine. Booker has a tremendous opportunity next week as the Broncos take on the New Orleans Saints anemic defense that ranks 30th in rushing touchdowns allowed. Booker could make the difference for you in Week 10.
3. Steve Smith Sr.
Remember this guy? Obviously Steve Smith is past his prime, but there’s a few reasons Smith could be your go to wide receiver for Week 10. One, Mike Wallace is on pace to record more than 1,000 yards so there’s only so much that can go around. Two, just look at their opponent. Smith and the Browns will take on the 0-9 Cleveland Browns who have allowed the second most passing touchdowns in the NFL this season.
4. Darren Sproles
It’s pretty surprising that Darren Sproles is owned by less than 50 percent of Fantasy Football players out there. The Philadelphia Eagles use Sproles in so many ways it’s hard not to get value. Sproles can have an impact in the running game, receiving game and special teams. He’s become of the best special teams players in the NFL, especially because of his punt returns. Sproles and the Eagles will take on the red hot Atlanta Falcons next week, but the Falcons have the 26th ranked defense. This is a no-brainer.
5. Paul Perkins
The New York Giants running game has been very bad this season. So bad that it ranks dead last in rushing yards. But, there may be some good news for both Giants fans and Fantasy Footballers who need a running back. Rookie back Paul Perkins is getting more touches, and he’s finding open holes. Perkins’ rushing yards have increased in every game he’s played so far. The Cincinnati Bengals don’t have a strong rush defense (ranked 22nd) and it looks like Rashad Jennings will get limited carries.
