Good news fans, "Fallout 4" does exist and the location the game will be set in has been revealed! Previous rumors stated that the upcoming title would be set in Boston but at that time all news surrounding "Fallout 4" was speculation. But no need to wonder anymore, Kotaku has acquired leaked documentation concerning the game and the news is plentiful. The leaked document comes in the form of the game's voice acting casting call. The interesting part about the document is that it never actually says "Fallout" is the title of the game but rather references a project code-named institute.
However, the contents of the documents make it clear that the game is being referenced. The beginning of one page starts with "War. War never changes,' which if any fans knows is a well-known line from the "Fallout" series. It then discusses the main characters great great-grandfather, who served in the army of 1945. Another document then makes reference to the Commonwealth minutemen. In the "Fallout" series lore, the Commonwealth is the post-apocalyptic name of Massachusetts and possibly the greater New England area.
For more in-depth details check out the leaked documents over at Kotaku. This is probably the first concrete news on the game in years. Even earlier rumors from a voice actor in early 2013 and the trademark for "Fallout 4" in Europe, and even a website, TheSurvivor2299.com, which offered a cryptic message that would reveal news on the upcoming title but turned out to be a hoax. It is still unknown, however, who will develop the game. Bethesda still owns the "Fallout" name so we will of course know who will be publishing the series.
