Finding work after being let go in an economy like this is going to be tough. However, finding work after being let go because of "misconduct" might as well be professional suicide.
Earlier this month, we reported that parent company DRB-Hicom had fired Dany Bahar from his position as Lotus CEO after internal audits discovered Bahar had rented two homes in Norwich, UK using funds belonging to the British sports car marque.
Now, the plot thickens as AutoGuide reports that ex-Lotus CEO is suing his former employers for wrongful dismissal.
An interesting development, DRB-Hicom never fully revealed the specifics behind Bahar's termination but now Bilanz, a Swiss news outlet, reveals that Bahar means to counter the company by taking Lotus to London court, insisting that his termination was unjust. What's more, Bahar has denied any use of company money for personal gain.
Only the latest addition to a whole mess of financial challenges for Lotus, if Bahar stands to gain $1.9 million from the company if he wins the trial.
