A former elementary school employee in Frisco, Texas, was reportedly arrested Thursday after being accused of allegedly distributing "inappropriate images" on an elementary school campus.

A Frisco Independent School District (ISD) spokesperson identified the ex-employee as Ruben Bustillos, a 60-year-old P.E. aide at Newman Elementary. He was arrested for the sale, distribution or display of harmful material to a minor, a class A misdemeanor.

According to Frisco ISD, the photos were "pictures/photographs from a publication," which were found in the boy's restroom near the school's gym. The spokesperson said that a "handful" of fifth-graders saw the pictures, and their parents were said to be contacted by campus administrators immediately. Newman principal Rachael Gilbert addressed the elementary students' parents and guardians, writing, "Please know that the safety and wellbeing of our students is a top priority."

The Frisco Police Department revealed that the arrest came after they found "inappropriate" images at an elementary school; however, they did not elaborate which school or what kind of images were found. Following the police investigation, Bustillos was accused of allegedly distributing the photos. Frisco ISD spokesperson confirmed that he is no longer an employee of the district as he was fired. It is unclear whether he has an attorney. According to jail records, Bustillos' bail was set at $5,000.

The school was again thoroughly searched in case images had been placed elsewhere in the building; however, none were found. Frisco police are continuing to investigate the incident.

The Frisco ISD worked and cooperated with the police department during the criminal investigation that led to the arrest of Bustillos. Anyone with information about the suspect is encouraged to call the Frisco Police Department at (972) 292-6010. Anonymous tips may be texted to 847411.

Meanwhile, in another incident in April, a Grand Prairie ISD official reported a substitute teacher for inappropriate behavior. The video that went viral online was used as proof, showing the teacher fondling himself at his desk at South Grand Prairie High School. The report was immediately turned over to the Grand Prairie Police Department. “Because Grand Prairie ISD respects the privacy of students and employees,” the district said in its statement, “neither the campus nor the district has been in a position to discuss the inappropriate behavior of a substitute teacher caught on video in March.”
