For those who can't get enough of Ivanka Trump, HBO is likely to adapt the successful podcast “Tabloid: The Making of Ivanka Trump” into a series. The untitled forthcoming show promises to be a heady mix of suspense and drama that traces the President’s daughter’s journey from childhood to becoming the “IT” girl in New York.
While the network has put speculations to rest, there’s a lot of ambiguity pertaining to the title of the series. Viewers are expected to wait around for a bit, as the upcoming drama series is still in its nascent stage. There’s also no clarity around its cast and premiere date.
But, speculations are rife that viewers will be able to watch the series sometime next year if things pan out well. It is also believed that Vanessa Grigoriadis, the host of the podcast, has a meaty role to play in the making of the series. The network has reportedly roped her in to serve as the executive producer of the show along with Nick Hall, former HBO executive, and Nakkiah Lui, an Australian playwright.
Will the show throw a deeper peek into Ivanka’s top secrets, fears, and low-key feud with Melania Trump? Well, your guess is as good as ours. Given the podcast’s stupendous success when it was dropped last August, it comes as no surprise to see a show being made on the same.
The FLOTUS’ icy equation with Ivanka and the hushed White House Drama have been some of the hot-selling topics for tabloids. The podcast, “Tabloid” featured multiple interviews of Ivanka’s mother Ivana Trump along with several others in Ivanka’s close circle drop explosive details about the 38-year-old’s American entrepreneur’s off-screen equation with her father Donald Trump and husband Jared Kushner. There’s a vague expectation for something similar to be recreated in the series.
While folks may expect a streak of fictionalized drama on the show, it is largely going to be focussed on the early life of Ivanka -- the First Daughter’s privileged upbringing, growing up amid a divorce and scaling the ranks of New York’s crème de la crème.
